The Grand 9 Theatre was a nine-screen movie theater inside Turtle Creek Mall. Originally owned by United Artists and called UA Turtle Creek Cinema 9, it was later bought by Regal Entertainment Group. Later in early 2006 the theater was bought by Southern Theaters, LLC, owner of the Grand 18 Theatre, and the name was changed to The Grand 9 Theatre. On October 25, 2007, the theater closed. The last movie shown was a 7:45 PM showing of "The Heartbreak Kid."[1]

After the theater closed it became the home of The Grove Church until late 2015 when the building was leased by Southwest Theaters of Austin, TX, and became Turtle Creek 9. The new theater features large reclining seats.[2]
