The 'East Side' is, as you can observe from older homes, buildings and not to mention the 'DownTown' area, is the origin of Hattiesburg. Such businesses and homes that was and is located in that area are Hulett's Funeral Home, WBKH Radio Station, the Presbyterian Church, the old Sarphire(Sarphire Jewelry), the old Tatum home, Toby's Grocery, old Veterans Home, Igloo Cafe, Coffee Cup Cafe, Owen Bros. Stockyard, #2 & #5 Fire Stations, the original Methodist Hospital, the Boys Brother Hood, Hattiesburg's original Public Works Dept.(the Barn) to name just a few. Please rectify. Thank You.
