The Stone Toad was a bar and music venue on Highway 49 behind what is now La Cocina Mexicana. It opened in 1968 after Tal DeCell bought The Capri Lounge and reopened it as a rock music venue. Then in the 1970s a new wing for disco dancing was added. Later it was renamed Tal’s Corral and became a country music venue.[1]
