Frazier Bolton was a police chief of Hattiesburg. He was sworn in on November 10, 2007 by mayor Johnny DuPree at the Hattiesburg Cultural Center.[1] In early 2015 he stepped down, becoming the public safety director, a new position created to handle miscellaneous administrative tasks. He retained the police chief title as Major Hardy Sims and Assistant Chief Frank Misenhelter took over day-to-day operations. His last day as police chief was July 31, 2015.[2] [3] He died in March 2022.[4]
